Cinema, fashion and advertising will be coming together during the next few days in Barcelona for the fashion film festival of the city, which will culminate its first edition on Thursday 5th October with a big gala at the Museu del Disseny. Until that moment, our campus became the nerve center of the event hosting different activities related to the theme of the festival.

On the afternoon of September 20th, we enjoyed the masterclass "What is a fashion film?" by Víctor Claramunt (famous director whose piece "Breaking Rules" has received many awards around the world) and the workshop "The cinema as a diffuser of trends", made by the well-known Fashion Brand Consultant Maya McCarthy. And this coming Wednesday, September 27th, the activities will return to LCI Barcelona: at 6:00 pm, the founders and creators of the Movistar BFFF, Eva Font, Alba Piris and Andrea López will explain, together with the Movistar Artsy cultural sponsorship platform, how they managed to turn a final grade project into an event that has broken all records and has garnered a great reception from the specialized sector and the public; and at 7:00 pm, Álvaro Piñero, editor-in-chief of the famous publication i-D Spain, dedicated to fashion, music, art and subcultures, will close the cycle of activities with a talk. You can register by sending an e-mail to info@barcelonafashionfilmfestival.net.

Once again, our School collaborates with initiatives that want to position Barcelona as the international capital of fashion, because thanks to the Movistar BFFF the Catalan capital will have its own festival of fashion films, as is already happening in Milan, London, Berlin, Brussels or Madrid. We also defend the organization of the event’s bid to give special prominence to the new promises of cinema, fashion and advertising (more than 150 nominations have been entered in this first edition). In addition, two of our most outstanding alumni, Manuel Bolaño and Krizia Robustella, are part of the jury in charge of selecting the winners of each category: Best Fashion Film, Best Emerging Fashion Film, Best Collection, Best Idea, etc.

Don't miss this Wednesday's activities and the big final gala to be held in early October. Discover all the details in the official website of the Movistar Barcelona Fashion Film Festival!
