Our School collaborates with Mecal Pro's 23rd edition
Once again, Mecal Pro (Barcelona International Short and Animation Film Festival) has prepared a thorough program with the best short films of the current scene. The event organizers have made a selection of 350 projects from 100 different countries and have distributed them in four official competition sections (International, Oblique, Animation and Documentary) and in other thematic sections. The festival, which in 2021 will again be held online, has been running since March 22nd and will end on April 22nd.
The Mecal Pro program is completed with several additional activities, one of which is sponsored by our School. It is the workshop "In the service of the story, at the director's command" given by José Luis Ágreda, art director of the award-winning Buñuel in the labyrinth of the turtles (Salvador Simó, 2018) and Robot Dreams, the new film by Pablo Berger whose release is scheduled for 2023.
This Friday, April 16th at 19:30h (CET), José Luis will talk about how to define the general style and the design of characters and locations of an animated film. You can register and access the workshop for free through this link (session taught in Spanish). Enjoy it!
