Don't miss the second edition of our Fashion Design Symposium!
Balmes Street, 209. 08006 Barcelona.
The irruption of technology and the emergence of social networks are radically transforming the construction of identities and, consequently, the relationship of society with its image. Also, the traditional forms of production and communication. In this process of change, fashion has become a key language for the construction of the liquid personalities demanded by digital culture. The client leaves behind his passive role and places himself at the centre of the design process to participate actively as a user who enters the conversation, either rethinking imaginaries and expanding the restricted notions of race and body that prevail in the fashion industry, proposing and constructing new intangibles or collaborating in the processes of creation. A paradigm shift in several directions that requires managers, designers and communicators a new way of understanding fashion design.
In this context, LCI Barcelona will celebrate the 2nd edition of its Fashion Design Symposium on 15th May, which will include different activities (talks, panels, workshops, etc.) with leading professionals in the sector such as Alfredo Orobio, Monica Titton, Joris Debo, Julia Wolny or Ryan Clott, among other experts. During the event, the presentation of the Felicidad Duce Award 2019 to the prestigious French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier will be formally announced.
