Specialize in bridal fashion with the know-how of haute couture

The value of bridal and wedding fashion is timeless and unquestionable. It is a highly specialized industry that, generation after generation, brings together new professionals united by the same passion: the design and manufacture of wedding dresses that are unforgettable. Over the years, this sector has acquired great notoriety within the world of fashion thanks to some marked signs of identity among which the protagonism of the haute couture techniques and a clear commitment to the handmade work that does not forget the classics or remains alien to new trends. All this with the aim of offering the public wedding collections that stand out for their quality and artistic, aesthetic and even social significance.

This program has been created with the desire to train and prepare, from the rigor and more than 90 years of experience of Felicidad Duce, the Fashion School of LCI Barcelona, the next generations of designers, pattern makers, project managers and bridal buyers. The students will specialize in traditional pattern making, construction and sewing techniques, and will learn to work with the constant innovation that this discipline demands.

The postgraduate also aims to convey the know-how of haute couture, as well as the latest trends in this field. With special emphasis on techniques such as moulage, draping and embroidery, the program offers a competitive working methodology to train qualified professionals capable of adding value to today's design and development teams.

Through several projects (one of which will be for a company), students will generate their own portfolio and will acquire techniques and strategies that respond to the current functioning of the sector. The final project, a research work in pattern making that includes a professional photo session, will be the culmination of the entire learning process.
