After Miriam Prat's victory at San Francisco’s Arts of Fashion, the rain of awards for our alumni continues. Clara Corominas and Sara Casas, of the 2016/17 Fashion Design class, triumphed in the final of the China International Ecological Fashion Design Contest, held last December 12th in the city of Shenzhen. Clara won the Bronze Award with "Spero" (collection made from materials collected in her trips to which she has given a second life), while Sara took home the Excellent Prize thanks to "Contamination" (project that recycles different fabrics and plastics to express our connection with Mother Earth). Both of them convinced a jury of international experts, including Gabriel Torres, professor and project director of the School.
With their respective proposals, made up of five looks, the alumni managed to join the 24 finalists of the contest, which was attended by almost 1200 people. Based on the theme of this first edition, "Awakening: Original, Green, Healthy", the participants have had the opportunity to reflect on environmental protection and to promote originality in design, green production and healthy consumption.
Our congratulations to you both!
