DI55ECCIONS with Laura Meseguer
Renowned professionals of design world talk to us about their experiences and projects.
On Wednesday 6th June at 19:00h we will celebrate the fifth DI55ECCIONS of the season, featuring the freelance graphic and type designer Laura Meseguer. Her studio works for international and domestic clients but also in self-initiated projects. She is specialized in custom lettering and type design for branding and publishing design. She also works as an editorial consultant.
Laura designs and produces typefaces that she distributes through her own foundry, Type-Ø-Tones. She is the author of "TypoMag. Typography in Magazines" and co-author of "How to create typographies. From sketch to screen". She is also involved with Alphabettes.org, a showcase of letterings and typographies designed by women.
The last conference of the cycle will be held in the framework of the Barcelona Design Week organized by BCD - Barcelona Design Center.
What is DI55ECCIONS?
Our cycle of conferences, curated by Inés Peláez and the branding agency Toormix, aims at bringing and giving voice to renowned professionals from the different areas of design. The mechanics of this second season are as follows: from 10 to 20 questions are given to the speaker, of which he or she must choose 5 and develop them in depth. In this way, the lecturer talks about projects (own or external), experiences and processes that have marked his/her career and that may affect the sector's future.
