The company Mela Val Venosta wants to renew the clothing of the fruit sellers who market their apples, and therefore has proposed a contest to nine students of the optional subject Ecodesign Strategies of the Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design. The resulting creations, which will see the light on the Fruit Seller's Day (February 6th), will also serve to communicate values that we share with the brand as sustainability and respect for the environment.

The contest officially began in mid-December with the telematic reading of the brief and the viewing of explanatory audiovisual material. During these weeks, our students will design and tailor two garments (an apron and a complementary piece of free choice) according to the needs of Val Venosta's fruit sellers, and they will do so under the supervision of professor Sonia Carrasco.

The prototypes will be made with an innovative fabric provided by the company itself and made from recycled apple waste. If the situation allows it, all proposals will be presented in a small event that will take place on the campus. At the end, the winning project and the two finalists will be announced.

Keep an eye on our channels because we will update you on the development of the contest!
