LCI Barcelona receives special mention at Catalonia Ecodesign Award 2017
The Government of Catalonia has decided to award this recognition to the candidacy "Sustainability in design pedagogy" for our firm commitment to the training of professionals who create products and services which respect the environment and whose production and marketing takes ethical and social aspects into account. LCI Barcelona's education model conceives sustainability as a holistic and integral value, which translates into the transmission of techniques, methodologies and analysis tools oriented in this direction.
A jury composed by international experts has taken into account criteria such as innovation capacity, environmental benefits, socio-economic impact, the incorporation of eco-design strategies, etc., when issuing a ruling in which the School is praised for focusing its programs on sustainability and technology at the service of people and groups, thus encouraging entrepreneurship, efficient use of resources and optimization of business management.
Ernest Perera and Pedro Coelho, Responsible of Product and Interior Design Areas respectively, were in charge of collecting the special mention at a ceremony chaired by Josep Rull, Minister of Territory and Sustainability.
