Prospect Design 2018 brings together 50 experts to explore the relationship between design and movement

Last Friday, we closed the 4th edition of Prospect Design, the design festival that LCI Barcelona annually organizes to break the usual dynamics of classes and to bring together on campus not only students and professors, but also alumni and renowned experts. On February 22nd and 23rd, almost 50 workshops were held with more than 700 participants, including external visitors. In total, 180 hours of activities led by professors and professionals in Fashion, Graphic, Product and Interior Design such as Krizia Robustella, Carmelo Zappulla, Natalio Martín, United Fakes, Nicolás Markuerkiaga, Urbez Capablo, Kenor and Dedociego, among many others.

The closing ceremony of the festival, held at Fundació Miró, included the awarding of the Prize for Teaching Excellence to María Costa (Head of the Pattern Making Department who has more than 30 years of experience as a professor of the School) and the master class "The present as a symptom", in which Marcos Morau, founder and director of the dance company La Veronal, talked about his meteoric career and discussed the role of movement (main subject of Prospect Design 2018) with Beatriu Malaret, Director of Pedagogy and Quality.

The event was attended by Mr. Claude Marchand (President and CEO of the LCI Education Network), Mr. Eduard Prats (Honorary President of LCI Barcelona), Ms. Kathryn Burkell (Canada Consul in Barcelona), Mr. Alfonso Calderón (Director of the Quebec Office in the Catalan capital), Mr. Miquel Rodríguez (Director of CCAM - Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion of Catalonia), Messrs. Jason Dewling and Milan Petrovich (President and Academic Director of LaSalle College Vancouver, respectively) and Messrs. Luis Diego Quirós and Martín Rodríguez (Rector and Fashion Department Director of the VERITAS University of Costa Rica, respectively). After the institutional part, the guests were able to enjoy a cocktail livened up by Flaix FM.
