4th year Interior students redesign La Bul's store window
How is affecting our planet the current frenetic pace of production and consumption? The students of the subject New Exhibition Formats within the Interior Design degree reflected on this issue by redesigning the store window of La Bul (Diagonal avenue, 594). This was part of the initiative Showcases - Design in Diagonal in the context of Barcelona Design Week 2020, whose theme was "Design activism. A call to action".
Led by professor Susana Piquer, founder of Colapso Studio, our students developed a proposal based on combining pieces of clothing from the brand with a short film of their own making that showed the day-to-day production system in the fashion industry (in addition to a QR code linked to this page). The aim was to raise awareness about the environmental crisis we are living and to defend sustainable design and slow fashion as possible solutions.
Project carried out by students Pierfrancesco Imparato, Lara Bertin, Brigitte Masabanda, Carla Casasayas, Jiachi Hu and Rebecca Jones, coordinated by professor Susana Piquer and with the collaboration of the lighting company Simon.
