Laus 2020 award two LCI Barcelona professors and pay tribute to América Sánchez
After last week's good news at ADI Awards 2020, we continue to congratulate two professors of the Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design who have been recognized at Laus, the ADG-FAD awards that highlight the best works in the field of graphic design and visual communication. In addition, the Honor Laus of the contest's 50th edition has gone to the prestigious artist and designer América Sánchez, who is a collaborator of the School. "Mensakas", a project developed by the company Pixtin whose partner and creative director is professor Maider Zulueta, has won the Golden Laus in Naming category. According to its brief, it is "a name for a messenger cooperative who, unhappy with their denigrating working conditions in companies such as Globo or Deliveroo, decides to create a similar service that dignifies the profession. It is an example of how to contribute social value from the use of language: something that is undervalued (being a messenger) becomes a source of pride".

On the other hand, the professor Roser Padrés has received the Bronze Laus in Pack Line and/or Label category for "Midnight 00.00", a packaging proposal for the new cosmetic brand of Nina Urgell that bets on the product's simplicity and honesty. This packaging family offers a mature, sophisticated and gender-free approach with the aim of avoiding the prejudices associated with the sector.
