Do you know Reteena? It is a festival made by and for young people that was born in 2018 with the desire to become a space of discovery, reflection and experimentation around the audiovisual world. This year, the event is held from December 3rd to 13th and it is 100% online because of the pandemic.
Our School collaborates with the 3rd edition of Reteena by offering the masterclass "Creating video games: The characters", taught by David Carretero (head of the Animation and Video Games area) and David Gómez (final projects tutor of the University Diploma in Video Game Design) and which will be available from December 4th to 6th on the festival's YouTube with prior registration.
During the session, both will review the generation of characters in the history of video games, talk about the limitations that existed a few years ago and how technological improvements in the sector have allowed evolution in this field. They will also give some keys to design a good character like the technique to choose, the aesthetics, the usability or the narrative. Don't miss it and enjoy Reteena 2020!
