Our alumni Daniel Rosa, National Award for Emerging Design at 080 Barcelona Fashion
The 19th edition of the famous catwalk, held at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, brought down the curtain with great news: the newly graduated Daniel Rosa won this prestigious award given by the Generalitat de Catalunya for his collection Isolation. He adds this recognition to his triumph at the European Fashion Union held in Budapest last October.
The jury chose its proposal for being "a commercial collection, which pays attention to the details and takes care of the quality". After collecting the prize, endowed with 15,000 euros and sponsored by Desigual, our alumni was excited and stated that he will continue working to boost his own brand.
Asked about his collection, he recognized that Isolation was committed to commercial pieces, but also defended his creative plot, emphasizing the details and finishes of the pieces he presented. Of particular note are the outer garments, jackets and trenches, as well as trousers, all of them endowed with a great personality. He combines natural fabrics like wool with synthetic ones like raincoat. Daniel's intention is to produce locally, stock up on local suppliers and take advantage of the leftover fabric cuts to make the finishes. Congratulations and good luck for the future!
