Online masterclass: "Defining yourself in complexity. Guidance notes on the horizon of today's photography" by Luca Pagliari

Where is photography now and where is it going?

Date
November 12, 2020 – 06 p.m. to 07 p.m.
Location

Online.

What is photography? Can we somehow encompass its totality? Does it make sense (or is it useful) to reduce all photographic abundance and diversity into such an unspecific concept? Is it possible to venture where it is going? These are just some of the questions that will be addressed next Thursday, November 12th at 6:00 p.m. (Barcelona time) in the online masterclass "Defining yourself in complexity. Guidance notes on the horizon of today's photography" by Luca Pagliari, director of our Master in Signature Documentary Photography. During the session, organized by LCI Monterrey as part of its Design Next event, certain paradigms of current photographic practices and forms will be discussed based on reflection, independent critical thinking and the encouragement of personal initiative.

PhD in Economics from the L. Bocconi University of Milan, Luca studied Photography at the ENSBA in Paris, the Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf and the ICP in New York. His work has been exhibited internationally in museums and galleries and belongs to important public and private collections. Besides managing educational projects, he is an exhibition curator and a member of the associations Leonardo - The International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology and Resources of Artistic Photography in Spain of the Ministry of Culture.
