External Reference, the architectural bureau co-founded by the professor and director of our Official Master's Degree in Experiential Interior Design, has obtained the Architecture MasterPrize Award for Small Firm of the Year in the Multidisciplinary Interior Design category. Created in 2016 by the Farmani Group, the AMP recognize creativity and innovation in architecture and space design at an international level. The winner's gala will take place on October 14th at Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
Among Carmelo Zappulla's most outstanding works are the production of the exhibition for the Spanish pavilion at the Yeosu International Fair 2012, the office of the theatre company La Fura dels Baus or the Alkimia restaurant in Barcelona. Thanks to this last project, he was awarded in 2017 with the SBID International Design Award and the INARCH Prize for the Best Author's Restaurant, granted by the National Institute of Architecture of Italy.
