We celebrate the grand premiere of "Sweet Side", final short film of the Animation Diploma, at Sala Phenomena

After months of hard work, 3rd year students of our University Diploma in 2D and 3D Animation presented last Thursday June 23rd "Sweet Side", their final short film. And what better place to celebrate the premiere than the spectacular Sala Phenomena Experience, where family, professors, alumni and staff of the School enjoyed the talent #MadeInLCI on the big screen.

The event began with a welcome from David Carretero, head of Animation and Video Games, who introduced a video compilation of the best projects in his area. Then came the big moment of the morning with the screening of "Sweet Side". The short film focuses on the issue of suicide to give visibility to this silent pandemic that is claiming more lives than ever.

At the end of the final credits, our students took the floor to present the project and talk about its creation and development process in front of a professional jury formed by Paula Blanqué (production manager of the film "They Shot the Piano Player"), Ivan Agenjo (CEO & executive producer at Peekaboo Animation) and Sergi Espada (animation director at Teidees Audiovisuals). The general director of LCI Barcelona, Sílvia Viudas, did not want to miss the event either and took the opportunity to congratulate the students for their work and dedication.
