The 2021-2022 academic year is coming to an end and, after the final project presentations made during these weeks, last Thursday we graduated a new class of #MadeInLCI professionals at the emblematic Disseny Hub Barcelona. The event was divided into two parts (bachelors and diplomas on the one hand, and masters, postgraduates and Pattern Making programs on the other) so that the graduates could share this unique moment with their families. And, for those who could not attend the event, two streams were broadcasted, which have accumulated more than 1,600 views on YouTube.
The LCI community filled the Disseny Hub auditorium
Both events were chaired by Sílvia Viudas, our general director, and Luis Diego Quirós, COO for Ibero-America at LCI Education, who was visiting Barcelona. Sílvia and Luis Diego delivered speeches in which they congratulated LCI alumni and encouraged them to pursue their dreams without ever losing their passion and professional humility.
During the Graduation Ceremony, the Teaching Excellence Award (which is given annually by the LCI Education network) was presented. This year, the award went to Gema Gilgado, professor but also communicator, humanist, critical thinker and expert in color, art, design and philosophy. As matron of 2022 class, Gema dedicated to the graduates some inspiring words about the values that will make them grow day by day in the professional but also in the personal field.

Before starting the delivery of degrees and diplomas, we screened a retrospective video to remember what we have lived during the academic year 2021-2022. A year full of challenges and opportunities that our new alumni have faced with commitment, hard work and dedication. Then, the graduates Chiara Giulia Arancibia (Official Master in Technological Product Design) and Lucía Fernández (Bachelor in Fashion Design) addressed a few words on behalf of themselves and their classmates.
And then came the great moment! The graduates of 2022 class went on stage to collect their degrees and diplomas from Sílvia Viudas, Luis Diego Quirós, the academic director Ruben Monmany and the area managers Estel Vilaseca (Fashion Design), Anna Pallerols (Graphic Design), Pedro Coelho (Interior Design), Ernest Perera (Product Design), David Carretero (Animation and Video Games) and Salvatore Elefante (Photography).

Our Graduation Ceremony 2021-2022 ended with all the attendees capturing this special day at the photocall located at the exit of the auditorium. In addition, Disseny Hub's floor 0 hosted throughout the day an exhibition with final projects made by the new #MadeInLCI professionals.

Congratulations to our graduates, their families and the professors who have accompanied them during this important stage of their lives. Remember that you are already LCI alumni and that the doors of the School will always be open to you. Good luck to each and everyone of you!
