Mariona Granollers and Claudia Gutiérrez, students of our Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, will represent us this Thursday in the grand final of Hempel Award. And they will do so with four looks from their final collections "Sisu" and "Unharmed", which they are developing this academic year under the direction of professor Gabriel Torres. The pandemic has prevented the two students from traveling to Beijing, but their proposals can be seen on the catwalk and both will defend them before the jury telematically.
The theme of the 29th edition of the contest is once again "Hard Candy Youth". Starting from the concept of sustainable fashion, this year's Hempel Award focuses on local traditional culture and explores the power of design to promote new lifestyles in the future.
LCI Barcelona participates since 1996 in this international event organized by the China Fashion Association and Hempel International Group. The 2021 edition has received 977 entries from 16 different countries, and we are proud to have two of our students among the 31 finalists. Good luck, Mariona and Claudia!
