The 5th edition of our design festival, which was focused on the theme "Exploring the Limits", took place on February 28th and March 1st. During both days, the School organized more than 40 workshops (a total of 160 hours of activities) given by great professionals and designed so that the entire educational community could enjoy a playful and different learning experience.

On the occasion of Prospect Design 2019, a sale of books by Gustavo Gili was held for the benefit of the LCI Education Foundation, which promotes children's literacy in developing countries. The Barcelona publishing house was also present with three workshops inspired by its books: "Aprende a fotografiar productos como un profesional" by Martí Sans (taught by the author himself), "Atrévete a rediseñar tu vestuario" by Frau Jona&Son (by Fiona Capdevila) and "Arte floral. Un taller contemporáneo" (by the Flowers by Bornay team).

MACBA has joined the list of collaborators of the festival this year. In addition to having free access to the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art during the Prospect Design week, our students were able to attend the workshop "Difundiendo el MACBA" to discover how the museum's collection is communicated and to take a chronological tour of its works.

Convent dels Àngels was the setting for the great closing ceremony that included the presentation of the Award for Pedagogical Excellence to professor Andrés Hispano, a renowned professional in the world of culture and image. Afterwards, Estel Vilaseca and Ernest Perera, heads of Fashion and Product areas, held a talk with the prestigious jeweler Marc Monzó, recent winner of the Ciutat de Barcelona Award 2018 in design category. We were joined at the event by Kathryn Burkell, Canadian consul at the Catalan capital, and by Luis Diego Quirós and Martín Rodríguez, academic dean and director of the Fashion Design school at VERITAS University of Costa Rica, respectively.

Students, professors and staff members celebrated the end of Prospect Design 2019 with a cocktail sponsored by Sikkim, Fentimans and RoundTable and livened up by Flaix FM music. During the end of the party, the Best Look Awards were presented. The countdown for the 6th edition of our festival has begun!
