The young artist and designer, an exponent of the new realities of design, gave the workshop "Experimental textiles for fashion and footwear" on our campus. Dom shared with a group of students from different programs his innovative vision and the experimental techniques he uses day by day. Throughout the morning, students practiced these alternative methodologies by playing with textures, colors, shapes and layers to create their own designs and 3D concepts from latex and plastic components. "It has been a very interesting experience, the students have followed their instinct and they have reinterpreted the materials by applying additives to change their characteristics", Dom said during the presentation of the results, which took place in the Agora in the afternoon. All the activity was developed within the framework of Understanding Design festival, which under the theme New Realities offered a program full of activities around the experimental, multidisciplinary, industrial and artisan fields that served to explore the role of design in the conception of new scenarios, physical and conceived through the virtual.
