The 22nd edition of the official Catalan catwalk finished last Friday with DYSTOPIAS, the fashion shows with the collections of our Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design students. The Modernist Complex of Sant Pau was filled with colour, talent and creativity thanks to the inspiring proposals of the 39 students who finish their studies this academic course. Under the art direction of Marcos Morau and the guidance of Pablo Paz, the students showed the result of many months of work during which they have put into practice all they have learned during their training years (techniques, treatment of materials, methodologies and work dynamics, resources, etc.). The designers were accompanied in their first professional experience by relatives, friends, professors and members of the School staff, who gathered in the Convent Pavilion of the emblematic architectural complex.
LCI Barcelona DYSTOPIAS was chaired by Mr. Claude Marchand (President of LCI Education) and Mrs. Sílvia Viudas (General Director of the School) who, along with Hon. Mrs. Kathryn Burkell (Canadian Consul in Barcelona) and Mr. Miquel Rodríguez (Director of the Commerce, Crafts and Fashion Consortium of Catalonia - CCAM), delivered the awards to the best collections:
First Prize
"Project One" by Laura Núñez del Arco
Second Prize
"Come Alive" by Emma Picanyol
Third Prize (ex aequo)
"R I C H I" by Nina Fernández and "Marti-nez" by Sara Iglesias
Congratulations to all the students of the 2017/18 class for their outstanding quality and to the teachers and tutors who helped them to develop their potential!
