Becoming a freelancer in the creative industries requires knowledge that goes beyond the strictly artistic: selling your work and having an income, finding clients, managing and delivering an assignment in an exemplary manner, choosing the workspace, etc. Martina Flor, a designer and illustrator specializing in lettering, talks about all these issues in her new book El gran salto.

With a Master's Degree in Type Design from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, Martina has her own studio in Berlin. There she creates personalized letters for publishers, advertising agencies and clients from all over the world, including The Washington Post, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, Mercedes Benz or Lufthansa. She combines her professional activity with teaching through workshops, courses and talks in spaces such as Domestika, Skillshare, TEDx or Adobe MAX. She is the author of Los grandes secretos del lettering (2017) which, like El gran salto (2019), is published by Editorial Gustavo Gili.
