DI55ECCIONS with Xavier Mañosa (Apparatu)
Renowned professionals of design world talk to us about their experiences and projects.
On Wednesday 17th January at 7:00 pm, we will celebrate the second DI55ECCIONS of the course with Xavier Mañosa. Trained as an industrial designer, he moved to Berlin after graduating. In 2009 he returned to Rubí and refounded his family's ceramics workshop under the name of Apparatu. His works, characterized by the exploration of new formal expressions, the innovation in staging and the daring combination of materials, have been shown at contemporary design fairs and festivals around the world (London, New York, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Stockholm, Madrid, Barcelona, etc.).
What is DI55ECCIONS?
Our cycle of conferences, curated by Inés Peláez and the branding agency Toormix, aims at bringing and giving voice to renowned professionals from the different areas of design. The mechanics of this second season will be as follows: from 10 to 20 questions will be given to the speaker, of which he or she will have to choose 5 and develop them in depth. In this way, the lecturer will be able to talk about projects (own or external), experiences and processes that have marked his/her career and that may affect the sector’s future.
